Midsummer Art Fair

With a heat index of 106º the pilot What’s Your Take? table set up outside in-between the buildings of the Goldmark Cultural Center for their 2026 Midsummer Art Fair. The first-ever response was from a bright and creative 7 year-old girl. Fitting. 17 responses and many wonderful conversations later, the inaugural event closed in a balmy 94º. Dallas in August, y’all. Whether people participated by sharing a response, those who encountered the project were intrigued and appreciated a space that didn’t require any self-sorting, labels, or sides. Just human connection and a bit of reflection for a ponderous, open-ended question. As a team of one, much was learned. First and foremost: bring a wagon to cart everything in!
